We have designed this program, available to you in Texas to give you the therapy you need but with the ability to go home. How Does Intensive Outpatient Program Work?
An intensive outpatient program, or IOP, is a structured, intense substance abuse treatment center program. It can provide for your needs through customized therapies and sessions. What makes it unique is that you will be able to go home at night. During the day, you’ll spend time working with your therapist as well as in group sessions.
The amount of time you will spend in an intensive outpatient program is dependent on the severity of your addiction. Some of the most intensive programs provide therapy each day. However, most people spend between three and six hours of treatment each day. You may do these three to five times a week. You will remain in IOP until you gain specific skills in managing your addiction.
The intensive outpatient program works with you over time to give you skills to help you stop using drugs and alcohol. It takes work for you to get the most out of this program.
Who Will Benefit from IOP?
We’ve designed our IOP in Texas to provide a high amount of therapy. It can help those who have a moderate to severe level of addiction. However, there are some things you should know.
If you’ve been recommended drug and alcohol detox programs or residential level therapy, IOP does not replace that need. Many of those who have a severe addiction to need detox treatment. During these programs, you will live in our treatment facility while getting help. You may eventually transition to an intensive outpatient program, but this does not replace residential care.
You may benefit from IOP if:
- You have a reliable home life with people who support you.
- A drug-free environment is available to you at home.
- You are not in active addiction and using drugs or alcohol.
- You can commit to regular counseling sessions.
- Drug addiction is something you want to change for good.
When you are ready to make this change, our team is prepared to help you make that happen. Our intensive outpatient program is not simple, but it will challenge you to improve your health and well-being. It is worth the work you put into it.
